About This Grant

Storybridge Listening & Speaking, to be implemented in 8 Oakland elementary school classrooms, is designed to strengthen elementary students' literacy and artistic/expressive skills, and to promote intergenerational and intercultural bonding, by engaging students in the art of storytelling -- including family interviews to gather oral histories, writing and public performance before audiences of families and peers.
