About This Grant

We are planning to refurbish the water system by replacing decaying posts that support the water pipe uprights and spigots with double posts (one to support the pipe and one to hold the hose hanger) and also replace the 8 rusting spigots as needed. We also are improving the chips protection under the large willow tree; we will weed to the drip line, then purchase chips, placing softer arborist chips first then a layer of play chips all to protect the roots and create a safe and clean area for neighbors, gardeners and their children to enjoy. Our garden is used as Open Space for the neighborhood as it is the only area open to the community for several miles around.
