About This Grant

A curated recipe cookbook, visual history, and profile of today's Seattle Chinatown-ID and Little Saigon restaurants and its founders. This hybrid cookbook and series of small business profiles feature the neighborhood's famed dishes and the stories behind the restaurant owners' beginnings, grit, and evolution. A curation of 20-25 local, BIPOC-owned restaurants will feature in a 65-75-page book. It's a celebratory yet intimate portrait of the neighborhood's restaurants and owners, delivered in an accessible, visually compelling way and intended for a broad audience.
