About This Grant
Heart of the Dragon project focuses on the stories to bring history, life & compassion to the everyday citizens that have shaped Seattle's Chinatown International District or C-ID. Our experienced multi-media team of photographers & videographers will focus on businesses & events that have been a long part of the C-ID. In addition, we will educate the underserved population on the art of visual content creation. We hope that by reducing the barrier of entry & providing education, there will be more C-ID stories created. It is our hope that this project will reduce the hostile acts towards BIPOC communities found in C-ID especially exasperated from the pandemic.
